Authority to Detain

Security Officers have authority to detain any person on campus if they have reasonable cause to believe the person may have been involved in a violation of TIU Policies or regulations, or state or federal law.  Whenever appropriate, Bannockburn Police will be called to give assistance and aid in determining the proper response to an alleged offense.  This response can range from disciplinary action by the university to arrest by the police, or both.
