Trinity International University Welcomes Dr. Robert Herron as Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Trinity College and Trinity Graduate School

Trinity International University (TIU) in Deerfield, Ill. is pleased to announce the Board of Regents has approved Dr. Robert Herron as Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Trinity College and Trinity Graduate School.
"I believe that he will provide strong, effective, long-term leadership for the college and graduate school," said Dr. Craig Williford, president of TIU. "His mature Christian faith, strong educational credentials and extensive academic experience will serve him well in this role."
Dr. Herron is a published writer and is passionate about the integration of faith and learning. He earned his PhD at Rice University, and has an extensive background in Christian higher education, including 14 years in the classroom. Dr. Herron served as provost of Waynesburg University, vice president for academic affairs at Southeastern University, and previously held academic leadership positions at Lee University and Southern Bible College.
"He is both an accomplished scholar and a capable, experienced, proven administrative leader," said Dr. Jeanette Hsieh, executive vice president/provost of TIU. "Dr. Herron has a proven track record of building and fostering successful traditional and non-traditional undergraduate and graduate programs, and is deeply committed to liberal arts education. He is a wonderful fit for the college and graduate school at this critical point in our history."
Dr. Herron and his wife Diane, an accomplished science teacher, currently reside in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana. They are excited to begin their new journey with Trinity and to engage in the important and necessary work of the university.
