Jay Simala, PhD
Jay has worked as the director of REACH Academic Programs since 2006 and has been teaching within The REACH Program since 2001. As an administrator, he focuses his time on new program development, online course development, and assessment initiatives. As an instructor, he teaches courses (both online and F2F) within the Organizational Leadership and Christian Ministries majors.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Wisconsin at Madison, and a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Counseling-Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He then completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education at Loyola University in Chicago, where he wrote about the nature of evangelical higher education and its implications for educational leadership. He is now pursuing an MBA through the University of Wisconsin. Jay also teaches part-time at Judson University in their Management and Leadership major (undergraduate) and their Organizational Leadership major (graduate).
In his spare time, Jay enjoys spending time with his wife, Lyndsey, whether reading, watching movies, or riding bikes.
