In Process??  At Bindery??  On Order??

Placing a Request for Rush Processing

This form can be used for any item that is received and In Process, waiting to be cataloged; At Bindery  for repairs; or On Order with the publisher.  Our cataloging staff will rush the processing procedure to get you the item as soon as possible. 

How long will it take to get the item?

• In Process items:  2-5 days

• At Bindery items:  5-21 days (depending on when it left for our off-site bindery)

• On Order items:  Unknown, depends on the publisher.  We will get the item to you within a week of receiving it.

How to Order:

1. You must be in the Brief or Detailed Record of the book you want to be cataloged.  To do this click on the Title of the item you want in the Titles List.
2. Note the Status of the book.  You may request items that have a status of "In Process," "At Bindery," or has Order Information which states that the book is "On Order."
3. Click on the yellow "Place Request" button from the menu bar above the record.
4. If you are not already logged into TrinCat you will need to enter your Trinity ID number and last name and click on "Login."  If you have already logged in you will skip this step.
5. A screen will come up which says "Please Choose the Type of Request."  Click on the arrow on the box just below this phrase.  Choose "Rush Processing" and Click "OK."
6. The form will come up with your item displaying in the "Bib Info" section.  
7. Scroll down the page and enter your Trinity ID again
8. In the Comments box please include a local phone number, email address or campus box so we can contact you to let you know your item has arrived.
9. DO NOT change the pick up location from "Circulation Desk."
10. Click "Submit Request."  This request will NOT appear in your patron record, but you should receive notice that it is ready for you.
