Steps for Admission
STEP 1: Application
Begin by completing an application for the EXCEL (Adult Undergraduate) Program. You can either submit an application via fax, mail or walk-in, or an online application (coming soon).
STEP 2: Transcripts
Once you have completed the application, you will need to have official transcripts sent from every college or university you have attended. This means that we must receive transcripts in a sealed envelope; photocopies or faxed copies will not be accepted. Our transcript request form (found in the application file above) can be used to obtain official transcripts.
If you have not previously attended a college or university, we require proof of high school graduation. This proof can be provided via a high school transcript, copy of your diploma, or GED certification.

College level writing and comprehension skills are essential for your success in the Adult Undergraduate (EXCEL) Program. All applicants are required to submit a written essay for evaluation. Please refer to the instructions in the application file (above).
STEP 4: Acceptance
Once the EXCEL (Adult Undergraduate) Admissions Office has received all of your application information, we will review your application materials to determine admission. You will then be notified of your admission status, usually within two to three weeks.
Standard Admission Requirements:
Attainment of at least 23 years of age before beginning course work
Proof of high school graduation or GED certification
Original transcripts of any and all previous college/university study indicating an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.0 (using 4.0 scale)
Pass the Trinity Admission Assessment
A minimum of at least two years of significant working experience. (Experience other than paid work, such as volunteer activity or parenting, may be considered toward meeting this requirement.)
A TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 500 on the written test or 173 on the computer-based test if English is not your first language. Please contact the Adult Undergraduate (EXCEL) Admissions Office for information regarding the TOEFL
Appeal Process:
Applicants who are denied admission to the EXCEL (Adult Undergraduate) Program may appeal the decision when questions of qualifications arise. Please contact the EXCEL Admissions Office for more information.
STEP 5: Confirmation
Once you have been accepted into the EXCEL (Adult Undergraduate) Program, you will receive an acceptance packet. You will meet with your Admissions Counselor and Academic Advisor to review and complete the following items:Course Schedule
Prospective Student Plan
Permanent Record Card
Registration Form
Student Survey
Once all materials are reviewed and submitted, you will join the university family!
Visiting Student Status
You may not be ready to commit to full-time study. No problem! You can take individual classes for credit or for personal enrichment when you apply for Visiting Student Status. Please complete the Visiting Student Application Form and submit via fax, mail or walk-in to the EXCEL (Adult Undergraduate) Admissions Office.
