South Chicago Regional Center FacultyBarry Beitzel is professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages. After a number of years in administration, serving variously as Executive Vice President, Provost, and Associate Academic Dean, Dr. Beitzel has returned to the classroom on a full-time basis. Prior to coming to Trinity, he served on the Old Testament faculty of Faith Theological Seminary. Doug Clark has earned his MDiv and ThM degrees at Western Conservative Baptist Seminary. He currently serves as the Director of Ministries at The Chapel, a church in Northeastern Ohio with Campuses in both Akron and Green. Kenneth Cleaver completed his PhD in Historical Theology at TEDS and has been actively involved in the ministries at Crossroads Church, Libertyville, Illinois. Richard Cook is currently assistant professor of Mission History and Global Christianity at TEDS. He earned his MDiv at TEDS and his PhD at the University of Iowa. Dr. Cook comes to Trinity from Taiwan, where he was involved in theological education for more than ten years, teaching Chinese church history and missions history. David Daniels holds a PhD in Church History from Union Theological Seminary in New York. Dr. Daniels currently serves as an associate professor of Church History at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. He has contributed articles to a number of theological journals and has lectured extensively throughout the States and abroad. Perry Downs is a professor of education and Associate Dean for Doctoral programs at Trinity. He has earned his PhD from New York University. He is currently Pastoral Associate at First Presbyterian (PCUSA) Church, Libertyville, Illinois. He has written the book, Teaching for Spiritual Growth, as well as chapters in many books about Christian education and youth ministry. Howard Ducharme received a DPhil from Oxford University, England, and is currently professor and chair of the Philosophy Department and Fellow, Intellectual Property Center, School of Law at the University of Akron. Floyd Elmore earned a ThD in Systematic Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary and has served as the chair of the Biblical Education Department at Cedarville College. Presently he serves as the senior pastor of Fair Creek Church, Fairborn, Ohio. Terry Erickson earned his MDiv at TEDS. He has served on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship since 1976. He currently serves as the National Director of Evangelism for InterVarsity. Bruce Fields is currently associate professor of Biblical and Systematic Theology at TEDS. He earned his PhD at Marquette University and has recently written the book Introducing Black Theology. Daniel Green is currently clinical director of New Life Resources and consultant for the lay counseling ministry of Elmbrook Church. He earned his PhD at the University of Arkansas and has coauthored four books on guilt and shame and on grief and trauma. Jay Halley earned his DMin at TEDS. He currently serves as a leader of the adult department at The Chapel, director of ministry staff connected to all-church assimilation efforts, instructor of personal evangelism, and teacher of adult Bible classes at The Chapel, with campuses in Akron and Green, Ohio. Tim Janiszewski earned his PhD at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He served as interim director of supervised ministries and assistant professor of practical theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Janiszewski has served as a full-time pastor for more than fifteen years and is now the senior pastor of The Kirk of the Lakes Presbyterian Church in Mundelein. An area of special interest to him is preparing future ministers and Christian workers to serve Christ effectively in an increasingly diverse and pluralistic culture. Martin I. Klauber earned his PhD in history at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr. Klauber is an investment banker and author of several scholarly works on post-Reformation theology. Charles Lake earned his DMin at Asbury Theological Seminary and now serves as the senior pastor of Community Church of Greenwood in Indiana. Daniel Lane completed his PhD in Old Testament at TEDS and regularly teaches at TEDS Extension sites. Prior to this, he taught at Trinity Western Seminary. John Mackett earned his PhD at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He also holds an MDiv from Trinity. He has served as an extension adjunct for number of years, teaching in the areas of Church History and Historical Theology. Dennis Magary is chair and associate professor for the Old Testament Department at TEDS. He earned his PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has taught in their Hebrew department. Samir Massouh is associate professor of Biblical Studies at TIU’s Trinity College. He earned both an MA and MDiv at TEDS, pastored at Elmbrook Church, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and contributed to the Expositor’s Bible Commentary and the New International Dictionary of Old Testament Theology and Exegesis. Thomas McCall is an assistant professor of Biblical and Systematic Theology at TEDS. He earned his PhD at Calvin Theological Seminary, where he has also taught philosophy. He has pastored churches in Alaska and Michigan. Glen Milner is a PhD candidate at TEDS, where he teaches regularly for the extension program. He has ministered as a missionary to the Philippines, as a professor at Lincoln Christian Seminary, and presently pastors First Christian Church, Cave in Rock, Illinois. Emanuel Naydenov is Director of Extension Academic Services at TEDS. He is a PhD candidate at Marquette University, where he has also served as a teaching assistant. Mr. Naydenov holds extensive ministry experience in Bulgaria, where was Dean of Extensions at the United Theological Faculty in Sofia, Bulgaria. Grant Osborne is professor of New Testament at TEDS. He earned his PhD at the University of Aberdeen and has written several works, including The Hermeneutical Spiral and most recently a commentary on Revelation in the BECNT series. Miriam Stark Parent is associate professor of Counseling at TEDS and TGS. She earned her PhD at Rosemead Graduate School and maintains a part-time counseling and consulting practice. Michael Reynolds is currently adjunct professor of Pastoral Theology, the executive director and associate dean of the South Chicago Regional Center, and pastor of New Life Celebration Church of God, Dolton, IL. He earned his DMin at McCormick Theological Seminary. Steven Roy is associate professor of Pastoral Theology at TEDS after teaching for three years in the Systematic Theology Department. Dr. Roy earned his PhD at TEDS and holds extensive ministry experience from serving on staff with InterVarsity, to several pastoral roles, and to teaching at Cameroon Baptist Theological Seminary in West Africa. Michael Sabo holds a PhD from Trinity. He has taught courses on Personal Holiness, Evangelism, and Principles of Discipleship. He is also a part-time martial arts instructor, which has enabled him to share the gospel and lead Bible studies with those who profess faith in Christ. Dr. Sabo has published the book, The Life I Want in Christ. Eckhard Schnabel is professor of New Testament at TEDS. He earned his PhD at the University of Aberdeen, served as the head of the New Testament Department at Freie Theologische Akademie, Gießen, Germany, served with OMF throughout Europe and the Philippines, and published several works, including Law and Wisdom from Ben Sira to Paul. He is also the author of an exciting two-volume set Early Christian Mission, published by InterVarsity Press in 2004. David Seemuth is an associate pastor of Elmbrook Church overseeing the Home Builders and Neighborhood Groups ministries. He earned his PhD at Marquette University and published several Bible study guides and books on small group ministries. Phil Sell is the director of Supervised Ministries and associate professor of Pastoral Theology at TEDS. He earned his PhD at the University of Iowa and has pastored a church in Sherman, Texas, for five years. He was on the educational staff of churches in Iowa and Ohio, giving oversight to strategy, leadership development, and small group ministry. Mark Senter is professor of Educational Ministries at TEDS. He earned his PhD at Loyola University of Chicago. Prior to coming to Trinity, Dr. Senter served as a youth pastor of Christian education at Wheaton Bible Church. His areas of expertise include youth ministry, volunteerism, leadership, and distance education. Mike Sleasman is a PhD candidate at Trinity International University. His primary area of expertise is Christian Ethics. He has served as a graduate assistant at the Divinity School and as an adjunct instructor at Trinity College. He has contributed a number of book reviews to Trinity Journal. Willem VanGemeren is professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages and director of the Doctor of Philosophy in Theological Studies at TEDS. He earned his PhD at the University of Madison-Wisconsin and written several works, including the Progress of Redemption and Interpreting the Prophetic Word, and edited the New International Dictionary of Old Testament and Exegesis. David Werther earned his PhD in philosophy at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has previously taught courses in philosophy and theology at the Elmbrook Study Center and at High Point Study Center in Madison and is currently serving as an adjunct instructor of philosophy at the UW, Madison. |
