Eugene R. Swanstrom, DMin

Eugene R. Swanstrom is director of placement for Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He earned his BA from North Park College and his MDiv and DMin from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has been with Trinity Evangelical Divinity School since 2000.

Dr. Swanstrom has local-church ministry experience as a Youth Pastor and Senior Pastor. Prior to coming to TEDS, he served as Assistant Superintendent of the Great Lakes District and Superintendent of the Forest Lakes District of the EFCA. His leadership experience within the EFCA includes service as Chairman of the Superintendents Council, membership on the Board of Ministerial Standing, Board of Mission USA, EFCA Board of Directors, and Chairman of the EFCA Placement Oversight Committee. Under his leadership, the Forest Lakes District grew from 62 churches to 90, with pastoral staff increasing from 75 to 160. Attendance at the District Youth Conference grew from 300 to 1,300. Dr. Swanstrom has been active in the planting of thirty new churches and preaches frequently. His prior theological educational experience includes the personal mentoring of many pastors and seminary teaching in Warsaw, Poland.
