Richard R. Cook, PhD

Dr Cook came to Trinity from Taiwan in 2003, where he was involved in theological education for more than ten years teaching church history, Chinese church history, and missions history. He also served as Academic Dean for seven years and planted a church in the Taipei area with a team of seminary students. His PhD is in Modern Chinese History, and his dissertation title is "Fundamentalism and Modern Culture in Republican China: The Popular Language of Wang Mingdao, 1900-1991." He has written articles for various journals, including Christianity Today, Evangelical Missions Quarterly, and Taiwan Missions Quarterly. His areas of interest include modern Chinese history, the church in China, and the global growth of the church.

Dr. Cook lives with his wife, Pei Fang, and three children in Lake Villa, and he enjoys participating in marathons and triathlons, including the Wisconsin Ironman 2006.
