The MA/CT emphasis in bioethics immerses students in the meeting point of law, philosophy, theology, and medicine as the context for discussions regarding society’s utilization of medical innovations. Enabling Christians to work, study, and research so that they can reach biblically based conclusions on these issues and proclaim them persuasively and intelligently to a secular world is the purpose of the emphasis. Trinity believes that answers to moral questions must be informed by a biblical perspective.
Physicians, nurses, healthcare workers, and medical students join lawyers, those with political and public policy interests, those preparing for a career in university teaching, and others in the pursuit of biblical answers on ethical issues. Emphasis participants automatically become members of The Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity at no cost for the duration of their program and are eligible to participate in their initiatives.
