    Joshua Thomas, PhD

    Josh Thomas is an assistant professor of Human Performance and Wellness at Trinity. Professor Thomas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in exercise science from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. He has a Master's Degree in Health and Human Performance from Iowa State University and is finishing up his PhD at the same school. His thesis title is "The effects of step uncertainty on impact peaks, shock attenuation, and knee/subtalar synchrony while running on a treadmill." His area of specialization is biomechanics, and his focus is the lower extremity of the human body during gait.

     

    Josh was married in 2005, and he and his wife, Jeanne, live in Arlington Heights. In his spare time Josh enjoys running, playing, and watching sports, reading, and playing video games. His interests also include Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, the Indiana Hoosiers, and the Kansas City Royals.
