    Carmen T. Mendoza, PhD

    Carmen T. Mendoza is associate professor of English at Trinity International University's Trinity College. She came to Trinity after teaching in the communications division and the adult and continuing education program at Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, Illinois. She also served as an editor and contributor for the Handbook for English Language Paraprofessionals.

     

    Dr. Mendoza received the Bachelor of Arts in Spanish/secondary education and English from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky. She also received the Master of Arts in general linguistics from Northeastern Illinois University's Graduate School of Linguistics in Chicago, Illinois.

     

    Dr. Mendoza's areas of expertise include teaching English as a second language, general linguistics, and Spanish.
