Trinity Community Philharmonic Orchestra
About TCPO
The Trinity Community Philharmonic Orchestra is a relatively new "town and gown" ensemble which includes TIU students, alumni, and faculty, as well as friends from the community (many of them music educators from the area). This group of 50-plus members is under the direction of Dr. Christopher Teichler. The orchestra performs in on-campus concerts and accompanies musicals, operettas, and oratorios performed by the School of Music. Among these, the orchestra has performed Mendelssohn's Elijah (April 2002), Bernstein's Chichester Psalms (April 2001), and Rutter's Gloria (April 2001) with the Concert Choir. The School of Music looks forward to the continued growth of the string program at TIU.
