How to Nominate a Candidate for Trinity College Alumnus/a of the Year Award
Nominations for the College Alumna/us of the Year Award are accepted at anytime during the year. All Trinity alumni or friends of Trinity can submit written nominations. The nominee must be a graduate or former student having completed at least one full semester of Trinity College (or Trinity College of Arts and Sciences.) The nominee should have at least ten years of ministry/career service and a notable accomplishment or legacy upon which the nomination is built and defended. The nominee should exemplify the Trinity mission, forming students to transform the world through Christ and embrace Trinity's Core Values
The College recipient is selected in late spring and the award is presented at Homecoming each fall. The full story of the alumna or alumnus is produced in a brochure format and distributed to the alumni as well as shared with the current student body and placed on the TIU Alumni websites. Nominations should include the full name (including maiden name when applicable), current address, phone, and email of the candidate; years attended Trinity College and his/her area of study; a story or documentation of the candidate’s ministry and impact; and if possible, pictures of the candidate. Within the story should be evidence that the candidate exemplifies biblical servant hood and applies the education and formation received as a student of TIU. Ideally, the nomination would be signed by more than one alumnus/a, professor, or staff person and would include comments and a combination of insights from those who feel this candidate is worthy of the award. Completed nominations may also be sent to the TIU Alumni & Parent Relations Office, 2065 Half Day Road, Deerfield, IL, 60015 or emailed to Alumni@tiu.edu with a subject line of “Alumni of the Year Nominee.” |
