Trinity College

Transfer Student Registration Instructions

The Checklist and Billing Information forms are designed to help you complete the course registration process:

  • Biographical Information: Tell us about you!

  • Preliminary transfer course report/degree audit based on official transcripts that Trinity has received from previous college(s).

  • Registration Form for TRANSFERS.

  • Catalog Course Requirements (for the major you indicated on your admissions application).

  • Fall 2087 TIU Class Schedule (also available on the web).

Step 1

Review the Catalog Course Requirements (received in the mail) and check off the courses you have already completed. This can be determined by reviewing your transfer course report/degree audit. Courses that have been transferred have had TIU equivalencies indicated where the course corresponds to a similar course at TIU. If no equivalent is indicated, it is because (1) we do not have a similar course, or (2) we need further information to determine the equivalency.

Step 2

You may check for open or closed courses by accessing the fall 2008 Schedule of Classes on the web. If you do not have web access, get online at your local community college or your local library.

Step 3

Develop a schedule from the courses required to meet your major requirements. Once you have selected these courses, select any additional courses you wish to take to satisfy General Education Requirements or as electives. List all courses in the Registration Form for TRANSFERS. List as follows:

DEPT    NUM    SEC  TITLE                   TIME                HRS
ART       231      A      Art Appreciation     3:05-4:20pm      3

Please choose an alternative course, offered at the same time if possible, for each of the courses you list on the Registration Form for TRANSFERS. In the event that your first-choice course is full, we attempt to place you in the second-choice course. This allows us to maintain the time schedule that you develop. The Advisor’s signature will be added by Dr. Pointer when he approves your classes.

Step 4

Submit your Billing Information Form online or mail all forms in the registration packet that was mailed to you, using the business reply envelope provided, to the Undergraduate Admissions Office no later than August 13.
