Senior Player Profiles

#25 Kellen Cottrell

Defensive Back, 5’10” 195 lbs. senior from Phoenix, Arizona, started all 11 games to earn Honorable Mention All Mid States Football Association. Kellen is a two-year starter and has been a vital piece of the special teams units, along with playing defense. In 2006 the versatile defender had his best season, recording 3 Interceptions, 44 Assisted Tackles, 19 Solo Tackles, and 6 Pass Break Ups.

#38 Josiah Sheedlo

Defensive Back, 6’0” 180 lbs. senior from Spring Grove, Illinois, started in 10 games in 2006. With steady growth he has become one of the best pass defenders in the Mid States Football Association. In 2006 Josiah recorded 3 Interceptions, 1 Touchdown, 44 Assisted Tackles, 9 Solo Tackles, and 3 Pass Break Ups.

#98 Cole Goodenow

Defensive Linemen,  6’1” 250 lbs senior from Ida Grove, Iowa, was a starter and a backup in 2006. A spiritual leader and known as a grinder on the field, Cole finished the Spring Practice as a starter. In 2006, he recorded 5 Assisted Tackles and 4 Solo Tackles.

#14 Nate Evans

Linebacker,  6’1” 195 lbs. senior from Neal, Kansas, came off of a knee injury to play in the final few games of the season. Nate has played Wide Receiver and Defensive Back. In 2006 Nate recorded 4 assisted Tackles and played on special Teams. He is now playing Sam Linebacker.

#8 Marcus Harkness

Defensive Back,  5’10” 210 lbs. senior from Vista California was injured in the opening contest versus Malone. Before the injury Marcus was the starting Left Corner after coming over to the defense after playing receiver. In 2006 he recorded 2 Assisted Tackles and 1 Solo.

#16 Jason Welch

Defensive Back,  5’9” 205 lbs. senior from Peoria, Illinois, came on the scene in 2006 in a big way. Playing Inside and Outside Linebacker, he earned Honorable Mention All Mid States Football Association. In 2006 the transfer from Rock Valley JC recorded 38 Assisted Tackles, 32 Solo Tackles, 2 Sacks, 7.5 Tackles For Loss, and 3 Pass Break Ups. Jason is now starting at Safety.

#91 Tim Jager

Defensive Line,  6’1” 245 lbs. senior from Tinley Park, Illinois, started all 11 contests in 2006 earning Honorable Mention All Mid States Association. Tim has held down the Left End position through the fall camp. In 2006 Tim recorded 29 Assisted Tackles, 20 Solo Tackles, 10 Tackles For Loss, and 4 Sacks.  Look for him to be a major force on the defensive front.
